TranscribePro is “local-first”: the heavy lifting —transcribing, translating, dubbing— happens inside your computer. Unlike cloud tools, your material doesn't travel to our servers to be processed. This policy explains, plainly, what data we do handle, what for, and what control you have over it.
| Data | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Identify your account, send you the license key, renewal notices and support. | License server |
| Machine identifier (hardware ID) | Bind the license to your computer and prevent fraudulent or shared use. | License server |
| Device specs (operating system, CPU, GPU, RAM) | Understand what hardware our users have, provide better support and prioritize improvements. These are general technical details and do not identify you. | License server |
| License status and metadata (plan, dates, activations) | Validate that your license is active and manage your plan. | License server |
| Buyer email and transaction ID | Associate your purchase with your license and handle refunds. | License server / payment platform |
| Error report (optional, opt-in) | Detect and fix faults. Only sent if you enable it. | Sent to our diagnostics channel |
Validating the license means your program communicates with our server every so often to confirm your subscription is still valid. In that communication your license/machine identifier travels, not your content.
Telemetry (usage statistics) comes disabled by default. Error reporting is opt-in: it is only sent if you give your consent in the app. When you enable it, the report may include the error message, the program version and technical data about your system (for example, operating system or type of graphics card) so we can reproduce the fault. It never includes your content.
We don't sell or rent your data. We only share it with providers necessary to deliver the service, and only for that:
Each one accesses only the minimum necessary. We do not use your data to train artificial intelligence models.
We keep your account and license data while you have an active license or a relationship with us, and for as long as legal and accounting obligations require (for example, purchase receipts). If you ask to close your account, we delete your account data except what we must keep by law.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at soporte@gettranscribepro.com.
We use reasonable measures to protect your data: encrypted communication (HTTPS), restricted access to the admin panel, cryptographic signatures for licenses and data minimization (we store as little as possible). Since your content doesn't leave your machine, the risk to your sensitive material is minimal by design.
TranscribePro is not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor provided us with data, write to us and we'll delete it.
Our website is informational and uses the minimum cookies necessary to function. We don't use advertising cookies or intrusive tracking. The desktop application does not use cookies.
If we update this policy, we'll change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you. The version in effect is always the one published on this page.
If you have questions about your privacy or want to exercise your rights, write to us at soporte@gettranscribepro.com. We reply.
